Product

What is the Concept?

The concept is essentially a new and improved electrical device mounting box for residential and commercial electrical products, such as light switches, receptacles, ceiling fans, and light fixtures. The objective of this innovative electrical construction product is to provide a power source directly to the box, allowing the quick and easy installation of the applications listed above.

The plastic or fiberglass box encapsulates separate conductive metal channels for the ground wire, the neutral wire, and the hot wire. This US patented electrical invention ensures that the internal design is protected, and the female adapters inside the box connect seamlessly with the male prongs of the switches or outlets.

When the external male prongs of the desired device—such as a switch or receptacle—are plugged into the compatible female ports in the interior of the patented light switch invention, energy is transferred through the channels to the mounted application, making it live and ready for use. This home electrical innovation introduces a plug and play light switch system that simplifies DIY electrical repair solutions and offers promising investment opportunities in electrical technology.

Product Design

The Blurton Brothers have designed a plug and play electrical application system consisting of a connecting box that accommodates a corresponding light switch or receptacle and brings electrical construction modern solutions to life—just as PEX did for the plumbing industry.

The Quick-E-Box speeds up the wiring process and allows users to check all wiring before the installation of insulation and drywall. This innovative electrical patent represents a smart electrical device for homes, helping ensure wiring dilemmas are avoided and troubleshooting is minimized after electrical work is completed in the building.

It also makes it much easier and safer for the DIYer (do-it-yourselfer) to replace a broken or defective light switch or receptacle without the fear of working with electricity and bare wires. The Quick-E-Box investment opportunity offers forward-thinking investors access to cutting-edge electrical inventions for sale, aligning perfectly with today’s demand for safe electrical DIY installation and business investment opportunities in the electrical innovation sector.

How it Works?

The Quick-E-Box is designed to be installed the same way the conventional electrical boxes are installed today, with wings on the sides of the box so they can be attached with nails or screws to the wall studs. The only exception is that today’s conventional method has all the extra wiring required by codes to be pushed inside the small area of the electrical box. With the Quick-E-Box the extra wiring required by a city’s code will be looped at the top and bottom of the Quick-E-Box and loosely attached to the wall stud so that if there is ever a need to replace the entire Quick-E-Box; the wiring can be easily be disconnected from the set screws inside the Quick-E-Box, and the old box can be removed. With a slight pull on the wire the required length can be pulled out, new stripped wires can be inserted through the correct holes in the top and bottom of the new Quick-E-Box then tightened down by the set screws inside the box and the box can be attached to the wall stud by nail or screws.

Because the Quick-E-Box is designed on the same principal as a circuit breaker box, and does not use the J-hook type of connection currently used to connect a wire to a screw or lug on the side of the component and has a tendency to vibrate loose if not properly installed; the Quick-E-Box set screw connection is less likely to vibrate loose. This circuit breaker type of connect does not require wire nuts and speeds up the wiring process and makes it much easier for inspectors to check all the wiring connections before the installation of insulation and drywall.

Through utilizing the Quick-E-Box, the amount of troubleshooting required will be substantially reduced, and the need for wire nuts and excess Romex wire (which ends up getting clipped off and thrown away) is eliminated. Lastly; if there is a need to replace a Quick-E-Box broken or defective light switch or receptacle, these components can only be installed one way and all the electrical wiring is enclosed within the box so there is no direct contact with any bare electrical wires and the replacement can be done by anyone safely and quickly.

The inventors want to leave the market open for subsequent variances and possibilities that could improve the feasibility and marketability of this product, such as optional tools, sizes, and shapes to accommodate various users and preferences. As particular models or sizes expand, the invention can be morphed or corrected for improvement. The inventors understand that customer feedback, especially from knowledgeable “do-it-yourselfers” is a great way to improve the product for future market potential.

Certain novel features and components of this invention are disclosed in detail in order to make the invention clear in at least one form thereof. However, it is to be clearly understood that the invention as disclosed is not necessarily limited to the exact form and details as disclosed, since it is apparent that various modifications and changes may be made without departing from the core of the invention.

The Problem

The Do-It-Yourself, (DIY) trend is all the rage these days, and there is one area of home improvement that is best left to a professional: electrical repairs, electrical system upgrades for homes, and installations. In these cases, the safest way was to call on a residential electrician.

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), electrical distribution within the building, faulty wiring in light switches or receptacles, were the primary ignition source, with an average of 31,647 reported home structure fires each year from 2019 to 2023.

Causes of fires from wiring:

Arcing faults: These occur when electricity escapes from a damaged or improperly installed electrical wire, cord, or appliance, emphasizing the need for safe electrical DIY installation options.

Worn and inadequate wiring: Aging electrical systems, worn wiring, and overburdened circuits are common sources of arc faults.

Installing a new light switch or receptacle may seem like a simple job, but if not done correctly, it can lead to fires and injuries. Whenever a light switch will not click on or the lights flicker when you try to turn them on, it may be time to replace the switch. When outlets can’t hold a plug, or lose power frequently when appliances are plugged into them, they too, need to be replaced.

Although when replacing a light switch or receptacle, one is faced with a small box filled with wires that are attached to the screws or lugs on each side of the switch or receptacle using a J-hook connection that has to be installed going in the correct direction and torqued to the correct inch-to-pound ratio. Many people are hesitant to do this repair for fear of being shocked or not doing the installation correctly, which may create a fire.

This highlights the growing demand for home electrical innovation and new electrical switch technology that can simplify replacement and repair — making it a strong investment opportunity in electrical technology for those seeking business investment opportunities in innovative electrical patents and smart electrical devices for homes.

Benefits of Quick-E-Box

The Quick-E-Box helps speed up the wiring process and allows the user to check all wiring before installing insulation and the drywall. After the electrical system in a home or commercial building has been completed, wiring dilemmas arise and troubleshooting is required. Troubleshooting the wiring requires the electrician or appropriate member to go back and forth between various outlets and switches to find where the problem is originating from. This process can lead to cutting holes in walls, fishing wires, and routine trips to the circuit breaker box — a tedious and time-consuming task.

Of course, if the home or building is occupied, most likely the walls are painted or papered and the damages need to be repaired. Moreover, if a wiring error is made by the electricians, all of the above may have to be done which wastes time and money. By utilizing the Quick-E-Box, the amount of troubleshooting required will be substantially reduced and the need for wire nuts and excess wire is eliminated.

The Quick-E-Box system also allows the professional electrician, homeowner, or DIYer to safely and easily replace switches, outlets, ceiling fans, lights, and virtually any electrical fixture in the home or business much quicker than current installation methods due to this simple plug and play light switch system. This revolutionary electrical switch invention stands as a true leader in driving forward innovative electrical construction products as plex did for the plumbing industry. It represents a strong Quick-E-Box investment opportunity for those exploring investment in electrical patents and innovative electrical product patents designed for modern infrastructure.
